The Only Way to Travel..country roads and Mother Nature

FALL IS HERE! AND SHE IS GORGEOUS

Must be all the rain and flooding…this guy was about 8 feet off the ground. Just waiting for his princess to show….when I got back to the car my Husband said,”what would you have done if he had jumped on you?” (it’s a well known fact in our family that I will kill anyone who attempts to put a frog on or near me-stems from a nightmarish incident when I was about 15) My response was “died right where I stood!

I am probably the only person in Florida who considers TS Debbie a blessing! But she gave me a really good opportunity to work on my “blurring water” shots! Naturally this type of photo requires swiftly moving water, and the more the better! So I traveled to a spot just north of Lake City, Falling Waters Creek, to the only natural waterfall in Florida. I had to wait for the water to recede and the park to re-open, but the wait was worth it. I was able to take as many photos as I wanted ( or until I ran out of blood from the the mosquitos eating me alive! )

I had to work Sunday night so I had to sleep in on Monday, so….My Holiday was Tuesday. A good hard rain always cleans up the flowers and draws out the bird, so we headed up to Cedar Key and the Lower Suwannee Wildlife Drive.

And REALLY girly!

I LOVE this hat! It just screams garden party, or maybe ladies luncheon. The color is more of a wine than the photo shows, very dramatic.

I finished a new hat for etsy last night and had to have some fresh air today. So we grabbed a picnic type lunch and hit the road. Ran over to Cedar Key then took a spin along the 9 mile drive in the Lower Suwanee Refuge. It was beautiful, a little dry for this time of year, but most of all, peaceful.
